African Elephants Mimic Sounds in their Environment
Mlaika, a 10-year-old adolescent female elephant living among semi-captive orphaned elephants in Tsavo, Kenya, imitated trucks as they passed her stockade, even though it is nearly 2 miles from the nearest road.Full story
Update: Now, a story and video an apple-sized Octopus marginatus in the tropical waters of Indonesia. Instead of its usual sprawling crawl, O. marginatus fled from divers by striding on two arms, with the rest of its arms wrapped around its body, giving it the appearance of a walking coconut.
